Day 1
Day 1:
Depart from Muscat and travel south along the scenic coastal highway towards Sur. En route, visit Bimmah Sinkhole, a beautiful natural limestone crater filled with turquoise water. Continue to Wadi Shab, where you can enjoy a walk through the spectacular canyon, surrounded by dramatic cliffs and natural pools. Proceed to Fins Beach, famous for its white pebbles and clear blue waters, for a relaxing stop and photo opportunities. Continue along the coastal road to Sur, a traditional Omani coastal town known for its maritime heritage and dhow-building tradition. Upon arrival, visit the dhow shipyard and enjoy a short tour of the town before checking in at your hotel.
Day 2:
After breakfast, depart Sur and travel towards Wadi Bani Khalid, one of Oman's most beautiful wadis, famous for its turquoise pools, palm trees, and dramatic rocky landscape. Enjoy time to explore the wadi, walk along its scenic trails, or swim in the natural pools, subject to weather and safety conditions. Continue to Wahiba Sands, a spectacular desert characterized by rolling golden dunes and vast sandy landscapes. Upon arrival, experience an exciting 4WD drive across the dunes and enjoy the breathtaking desert scenery before watching the sunset. Check in at your desert camp and enjoy dinner followed by an overnight stay in Wahiba Sands.
Day 3:
Enjoy breakfast at the desert camp before departing Wahiba Sands towards Nizwa. En route, visit Birkat Al Mouz, a traditional Omani village famous for its date plantations, mud-brick ruins, and ancient falaj irrigation system, recognized as part of Oman's UNESCO-listed irrigation heritage. Enjoy a walk through the village and its picturesque surroundings before continuing to Nizwa. Upon arrival, visit the impressive Nizwa Fort, renowned for its massive circular tower and panoramic views of the town. Explore the traditional Nizwa Souq, where you can browse local handicrafts, silverware, pottery, and Omani souvenirs. After the visits, transfer to your hotel in Nizwa for check-in and an overnight stay.
Day 4:
After breakfast, depart Nizwa and drive towards Jebel Akhdar, the Green Mountain, located in the spectacular Al Hajar mountain range. Enjoy a scenic drive through rugged mountain landscapes and terraced villages, ascending to the Saiq Plateau in a 4WD vehicle. Upon arrival, visit the traditional villages of Al Ayn and Al Aqur, famous for their terraced gardens, fruit orchards, and ancient falaj irrigation systems. Enjoy panoramic views from Diana's Point, overlooking the dramatic mountain valleys and deep canyons. Depending on the season, you may also discover the region's famous roses, pomegranates, and other local produce. After exploring the area, check in at your hotel and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure, surrounded by the peaceful atmosphere and breathtaking scenery of Jebel Akhdar
Day 5:
After breakfast, enjoy some free time to admire the spectacular mountain scenery of Jebel Akhdar before departing for Muscat. Descend from the Green Mountain through the dramatic landscapes of the Al Hajar mountain range and continue towards the capital. Upon arrival in Muscat, transfer to your hotel or proceed to the airport according to your travel arrangements, concluding your memorable journey through Oman's desert, coastal, and mountain landscapes.
